The room was smaller than I expected, and the double bed felt a bit compact.

unbearable temperaturesticky remote
The room temperature was unbearable , like being in a freezer. the prices at the bar was like highway robbery . I swear i paid twelve pounds for a gin and tonic. if the pepperoni pizza i had is any indication , the food is definitely questionable. i also noticed the tv remote was sticky , a detail that really tests one's commitment to hygiene. it made me question what other corners were being cut.

a reasonable experience

convenient locationample parkingquiet roomsmaller roominflexible chargelimited space
the location proved convenient for the venue i attended. parking felt ample and added to the convenience. the room had a tv..
the room felt smaller than anticipated, especially the double bed. i requested a ground floor room with a shower, but it was not available without an extra charge.. this felt quite inflexible. there was also limited space to put clothing.

adequate stay with issues

cute staffcold temperaturehigh price
the staff was friendly and cute, which i appreciated after a long drive.
I found the hotel to be quite cold throughout my stay. there was no way to adjust the temperature in my room (i even asked at the front desk). also, the bar prices seemed high. I was charged £12 for a large g&t.

smooth check-inking sized bedconvenient walkhelpful staff
check-in was smooth, and the staff ensured i had all the information i needed. the super king sized bed was comfortable, and i was so glad to have a bath (a definite plus after a long day). i easily walked to the abbey gardens and the town center in about fifteen minutes. the staff was helpful with directions and local information.
i noticed some slight wear on the furniture, but it was minor and didn't affect my stay at all.
